Ex LNER “Beavertail” observation car no. 1719E at Loughborough, 10 May 2008. This carriage was built in 1937 for use on the Coronation service between London and Edinburgh, and was converted to its present form with larger end windows by BR in 1959 for use on the West Highland line. It has been restored at Rothley, GCR, by Railway Vehicle Preservations Ltd.
