92203 approaching the station where it will couple on to its train, 27 June 2004. The 9Fs were the last of the British Railways standard classes, designed by R.A. Riddles and introduced in 1957. No. 92203 was built at Swindon in 1959 and withdrawn eight years later, sold to David Shepherd who gave it the name Black Prince. The only 9F to carry a name in BR service was no. 92220 Evening Star, the last steam loco built by BR.
