5552 running round at Boscarne Junction. The trackbed of the ex LSWR line beyond the buffer stop is now part of the Camel Trail footpath. From 1888 the GWR had running rights from here over the LSWR line as far as Wadebridge but was not allowed to stop at the intermediate stations, and each company had its own staff at Wadebridge station. This situation lasted right up to nationalisation in 1948. |
